I’m a huge fan of using credit cards. An integral part of my automated personal finance system is the fact that 100% of all my discretionary spending is done on a rewards credit card. The problem is, there are hundreds of different rewards cards out on the market today and sifting through the noise to find the best ones can be tedious. Luckily, I’m a nice guy and have done the dirty work for you.

Below is a list of what I feel are the best rewards credit cards on the market today. As I’ve promised before on this site, any recommendations I make are things I use myself or things I’d be comfortable recommending to my own mother. With that said, here are my picks for the best reward credit cards you can find:

The Discover it™ Card is a brand new card on the market that features no annual fee, no over-limit fee, and a feature that you’ll hopefully never need – no fee on your first late payment! 

As for rewards, the Discover it™ Card gives you 1% cash-back on all your purchases, along with 5% cash back on additional categories that rotate each quarter. You can also earn bonus rewards by automating your bills to be paid by your Discover it™ card each month (which I highly recommend doing). If that wasn’t enough, you can earn up to 20% (yes, 20!) cash back on purchases made directly through Discover’s online shopping portal.  Your rewards can be redeemed in the form of gift cards, merchandise or cold hard cash (Rewards are paid out in $50 increments) .
